JASON PACHTER, PARTNER

Jason is a Partner in the firm’s Corporate Department, where he advises companies at every stage of growth, from emerging startups to established enterprises, on a broad range of corporate and transactional matters. Working across a diverse range of industries, he serves as a trusted strategic advisor to founders, executives, boards of directors and investors, guiding clients through pivotal business milestones, including mergers and acquisitions, venture capital and private equity financings, corporate governance matters and successful exits.

Jason represents buyers, sellers, investors and companies in structuring, negotiating and executing sophisticated business transactions, including M&A, venture capital and private investment financings, joint ventures and other strategic transactions. He regularly advises clients on SAFEs, convertible notes, preferred equity financings, shareholder arrangements and complex commercial agreements, providing practical, business-oriented counsel that helps clients achieve their strategic objectives while effectively managing legal and commercial risk. Beyond individual transactions, Jason serves as ongoing corporate counsel, advising clients on governance, commercial and strategic issues throughout every stage of the business lifecycle.

Throughout his career, Jason has represented CEOs, founders, creators, entrepreneurs, private equity funds and investors across a wide range of industries, including arts and entertainment, artificial intelligence, drone technology, food and beverage, hospitality and industrial services. His ability to quickly understand the commercial dynamics of his clients’ businesses enables him to deliver practical, solutions-oriented legal advice that is aligned with their long-term business objectives.

Jason began his legal career at Winston & Strawn LLP, where he practiced for four and a half years. Prior to joining Sklar Kirsh LLP, he was a senior associate at a midsized law firm in New York City.

He earned his J.D. from St. John’s University School of Law, where he now serves as an adjunct professor.

Before becoming a lawyer, Jason worked as a songwriter and guitarist, a creative background that continues to influence his thoughtful, solutions-oriented approach to client service. Outside the office, he enjoys golfing, biking, reading, attending live concerts, and spending time with his family.
