Real Estate Paralegal
Sklar Kirsh, LLP is seeking a highly skilled Real Estate Paralegal to join the team and help support our busy real estate practice group.
Responsibilities Include:
- Assisting in all aspects of pre-closing, closing, and post-closing matters relating to loan financings, syndications, acquisitions, and dispositions
- Performing review of title reports/commitments, preparing title memorandum and title objection letters, and facilitating both loan and owner’s policies
- Reviewing ALTA surveys and preparing comments based on standard requirements
- Requesting UCC searches, analyzing and summarizing results; preparing UCC financing statements and amendments, including the preparation of collateral descriptions
- Preparing acquisition and loan documents based on template forms under supervision of attorneys
- Preparing closing checklists and monitoring status during course of transaction
- Assisting with entity formations and registrations, dissolutions, conversions, obtaining EINs, drafting of organizational charts, and various organizational documents, including transaction consents and resolutions
- Preparing closing binders
- Assisting with other Real Estate Department projects as needed
Candidate Qualifications:
- Paralegal certificate or other qualification under BPC 6450(c) required. Bachelor’s degree is preferred
- Ability to establish professional relationships with clients, title officers and counsel
- Must be detail oriented and possess excellent writing, communication, organizational, and computer skills
- Strong commitment to quality of service and quality of work is required
- Ability to be a reliable and positive team player is a must
- Excellent time management skills and ability to manage multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment
