Adrian D. Boddie is an associate in the Real Estate Department of Sklar Kirsh.  Adrian’s practice focuses on complex real estate transactions, with significant experience in representing borrowers and institutional lenders in connection with the origination and servicing of loans secured by various financial structures.  Adrian has experience in all aspects of real estate transactions, including conduit and portfolio lending transactions, investment fund transactions, joint venture transactions, acquisitions and dispositions and leasing.

Adrian began his legal career with Richards Layton & Finger PA where he provided counsel regarding formation, operation, and governance matters in connection with structured finance transactions, commercial real estate acquisition, and refinance and joint venture transactions.  Later, Adrian was a real estate associate with Alston & Bird LLP and Winston & Strawn LLP where he drafted and negotiated loan documents in connection with commercial real estate finance transactions and advised his clients on issues relating to such transactions.  Adrian also spent time with Holman Capital Corporation as its Vice President and General Counsel where he helped to manage the company’s business related to the financing of real property and capital equipment for governments and educational institutions throughout California and Arizona.

Adrian attended UNC Chapel Hill School of Law where he received his Juris Doctorate in 2011.  He is a two-time Distinguished Speaker at the Delaware Minority Job Fair and was named to the National Black Lawyers “Top 40 under 40” in 2015 and the Lawyers of Color’s Mid-Atlantic Region “Hot List” in 2013.  Adrian was also published in the Real Estate Finance Journal (Fall/Winter 2015).

Adrian enjoys community service and is very active in the community, having served on the Board of Directors for the American Red Cross of the Delmarva Peninsula (Finance Committee) and the Christina Cultural Arts Center (Governance Committee).

In his free time, Adrian enjoys golfing, fishing, traveling and trying new and exotic foods.
